Harian IndoJakarta – Bisnis perfilman memang merupakan bisnis yang menggiurkan hingga saat ini. Harga tiket yang relatif tinggi dan penikmat film yang banyak, membuat industri perfilman sangatlah menguntungkan. Terlebih lagi di Hollywood yang merupakan basis perfilman dunia.
Sangat banyak sekali studio besar di Hollywood yang berkompetisi untuk memproduksi film yang bagus dan bermutu sehingga bisa menarik penonton sebanyak-banyaknya agar mendatangkan keuntungan. Bahkan, tak sedikit dari mereka yang merogoh budget yang terbilang sangat besar bahkan fantastis dalam sebuah proyek film. Besarnya budget diharapkan film yang dihasilkan juga akan semakin berkualitas dan promosi yang besar-besaran sehingga akan menarik keuntungan yang lebih banyak lagi.
Pada tahun 2016 lalu, mayoritas film yang berada di deretan teratas terlaris di dunia adalah film dengan budget yang sangat besar juga. Diantaranya yakni film Captain America: Civil War, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice dan Rogue One: A Star Wars Story yang memiliki budget produksi di atas USD 200 juta (2.6 triliun rupiah) tapi menempati 10 besar film terlaris di tahun 2016.
